Life after Eastern High
Eastern High is an 11 – 16 school at present.
At the age of 16, following Key Stage 4 examinations, education does not end for your child, and it is expected he or she carries on in education, either through a full-time Post-16 course (e.g. in a Further Education college or a school with a Sixth Form) or through an on the job training scheme/apprenticeship.
From September 2017, the school has been able to offer Sixth form provision on site, via Cardiff & Vale College, who share part of our campus. However, this may not suit all students, and is only a minimal provision. For this reason, it is vital our students are given good career guidance throughout their time with us and know who to contact should they have any questions regarding their future pathways.
