Young Writers Competition Returns to Eastern High!
The Young Writers competition returns to Eastern High this term!
Here's the key information from Young Writers! Our pupils will get the opportunity to take part in this fantastic competition in their English lessons this term! In the past we have been thrilled to see some of our young writers published in The Glitch!
An exciting creative writing competition to engage 11-18 year olds and get them writing thrilling tales.
What will your students choose?
Inspire your students to write compelling mini sagas (stories told in up to 100 words) with Fight or Flight!
Your students are invited to explore moments of decision and the consequences of choice. Will their characters flee and live to see another day, or face the situation head-on? They could write about life-or-death scenarios or everyday decisions, real-life experiences or imaginary worlds - it's completely up to them how they interpret the theme.
The chance to see their work in print will motivate your class to get writing; it's guaranteed to unleash creativity and ignite enthusiasm in your classroom.
Check out the exciting video which introduces the activity, as well as the story starters and prompt questions which are designed to kick-start ideas.
There are more free downloads to help you teach an exciting English lesson they'll never forget, including a ready-made lesson plan and accompanying PowerPoint, model stories and writing prompts.
